Operation Christmas Child

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.

As an outreach everyone can participate in, Operation Christmas Child is designed to be a blessing by packing a shoebox with designated items. Once the shoboxes are packed, they are delivered to the church so they may be sent worldwide to a child in need. It's truly an unspeakable joy!

The opportunity will begin October 24 to wrap up by November 14 (20th for LifeAustin Southwest) and our goal is 2,000 boxes.

We are in need of people to help in various areas for this event:

• For everyone - to pack a box
• People to help prepare boxes to be distributed
• People to help collect and pack boxes which are prepared to be sent
• People to load cartons with boxes to be sent to a distribution center in Dallas
